We're all thinking it, I'm just saying it.
Was thinking of trying Fallout 3... then I read this -
Why We Picked It: Bethesda knows how to make a sprawling RPG with so many side quests that you can play for hundreds of hours and never even touch most of the story. Couple this formula with the fantastic Fallout universe and you have a massive and incredibly immersive title on your hands. The only reason we wouldn't recommend the game is if you value family and friends, because they won't see you for a long time once you start.
Reading the reviews... sounds like you can literally unleash Hell.
The closest thing to an RPG that I ever got into was the GTA series. Besides that I mostly stick to shooters and sports games.

Kill as many people as possible games or NHL.
I don't plan on getting another game until NHL 2010 comes out.
ditto. NHL 09 is more than enough to keep a marriage on the edge.
Fallout 3 is the best game I have played in years. I have already wasted 30 hours on this game, and I am only on the 4th quest in the main story line.

So the hundreds of hours they mention is not a much of a stretch? Sounds tempting but I know if I start it, I'll get sucked in to the abyss.
