I think the team needs to stop playing games with only 2 players...everything i've read seems to point to the fact that this hurts in the standings. I know the more we fall, the less people will care. It was fun being the 8th best team in the world....being 44th just doesn't have that pizazz. I don't want to take this thing too seriously either...but it's way too early in the season to give up. Maybe we need to call some people up from the B team...maybe we need to drop some people from our team. I don't know, i don't have the answers, heck i'm powerless to help at this point.
If anyone has ideas about how to fix it or if they don't care to do anything about it...let me know in the comments section.

I definitely think the 2-player games are killing the standings - nothing more than that. Look at the record - as it got better we went up. Remember fighting for .500 very recently? Now around 80-90 games over 500, and yet the team is sliding in the rankings. I don't see how it could be anything but the # players playing these games.
If you need a Dman call me up. Ive really tightened my game up with Team B. Either way I just love playing.
i'll vouch for that, i remember reading on IGN that teams will get more points when playing with more players.
it may also be other teams moving up faster than TPB (due to more members, more games etc)
I'm still trying to find a reason why our split squads aren't combined, it can only help the rank if we're having trouble getting 4 or 5 in each game
Even if we play with 2 players a win is still a win, no matter how little points we get. EA still hasn't told anyone what their formula is.
I study how other teams play (from the penalty box) and it seems like we are not setting up anything in the offensive zone.
We have one of the best rushes, but if we do not get a rebound, the other team fore checks and we have 3 forward holding our vaginas.
6-0 last night with fights with one flawless victory.

It depends on who's playing or not to see how things get set up.
We are reading way too much into this rank thing. EA is obviously shitting the bed and no matter what we do it won't effect our position. We played more 2 man games when we were 8th. Polish and I played a million by ourselves.
Just to add to my point. Polish were destroying teams and I was actually satisfied with my playing when we were in the top 10. We can win 5 in a row now and drop in the standings. No matter how many guys you're playing with, that's gay.
When you put a string of beating the top teams in a row and don't move from the 8 spot something is awry (yes).
I still think EA just regulates this stuff so teams play more and are worried about their ranks. I think they have a cycle of good D and a good goalie with terrible ones.
I don't know what is worse. Team PensBlog PS3 dropping from #8 to #44.

Read some of the JELO ranking system stuff (used a lot for chess). We may be a victim of our own success. It may help to add less experienced players. Its all speculation though until EA lets everyone in on the formulas.
I would reccomend calling up inept13astard and jerrrrrry to the A team.
I don't think we have weaknesses besides slowing down a little and take some time to set up plays.
Plus (me as well) we are chasing the puck again sometimes, everyone should know by now how to play their position.
The Centerman is supposed to be defense oriented as much as anyone else. If the D is digging a puck out of the corner the Center is supposed to cover the front of the net, and the wings cover the points.

I confess... after beer 6 or 7 I began to stray from my position somewhat and lost some focus. Sometimes I get caught up in watching you know what.

Through about 30 games I'm averaging .95 goals per game and .5 assists per game. I'm not saying... I'm just saying.

I would like to be considered for a call up.if you look at my stats they are really good. However I am a full time college student so there are times that i cannot play. I am free a lot of times during the day though. If those stats are not enough for you to call me up take a look at my vs record and ranking. Also all the time we have a 6 person game people back out its not that hard to play goalie stay deep in your creaese and only move the left analog stick and your golden 6 people games are where all the points are
They do keep the two person games. Polish and I have played a bunch.
I don't get where this speculation comes from. We have played 2 man games and moved up in the rankings. We have played 5 man games and moved down after wins. There is no way to tell what to do... until EA says something about it I say we just stay the same. We'll probably see a bounce back like we have 2 times before.
last night was beautiful... we broke 500 wins with dominating defensive play and clutch goal scoring.
